Whiter than Snow

I just listened to one of the most soothing, comforting, and convicting poems I’ve ever heard–and I have to share it!  Over and over again, I’ve listened and been washed in God’s grace, challenged to emulate the same.   The poem was an excerpt from Paul David Tripp’s new book, Whiter than Snow: Meditations on Sin and Mercy, a one-of-a-kind poem and prose commentary on Psalm 51.  The meditations explore God’s gift of love towards us, and share  (as the publisher puts it), “mercy for every wrong and grace for every new beginning.”   For an exceptional  review of the book, I highly recommend reading Tony Reinke’s blog, Miscellanies.

This poem/reading by the author will convict, bless and inspire you.  May it also create a hunger to read more of Psalm 51, and Tripp’s book.  I’m ordering mine now.

Winter Fun

A brief departure from ‘deep thoughts’ to share some photos from our Christmas break in Ottawa.  If you think there’s a lot of snow now, just wait until February!
