Meditative Mondays

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever!  Psalm 107:1

I’m really excited today about joining the following friends, to give thanks to our wonderful Lord:

…And to add my little thoughts to “The List that Never Ends“:

Since spring is on the verge of popping out around our little hollow in the hills, today’s list of 10 are forefront in my mind (and our yard):

1. Feather visitors

 2. Crocus and daffodils already spreading colour in a March-gray world

3.  Delicate magnolia buds, too many to count

4. Sunnier sunsets

5. Beautiful, deer neighbors

6. The blessing of Rain

7.  A cozy hearth when it feels damp to the bone

8. The company of the neighbors dogs, without the upkeep

9.   The gift of sight to take it all in!!

10. And for my husband’s compulsion and gift in capturing God’s creation in photos!

What are you thankful for today?

“In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”  I Thess. 5:18

  1. looks so beautiful and cozy! Eva is on my lap now looking at the dogs.. oh how we love you and miss you always.. so wonderful to have a view of you.. and seeing God’s creation through lens of Dad…

  2. Wow, you’re ahead of us in spring! Did you get any snow yesterday like we did? Although we have some green poking through here and there, nothing is opened up yet (thankfully). Wonderful list and great photos of God’s beautiful creation! Blessings!

  3. A great list and beautiful photos (of course!). :o) I’m glad you’ve decided to join in! It’s been a good exercise for me…. helps keep things in the proper perspective. Thanks for sharing!

P.S. Did your purse arrive yet? :o)

  4. I love your list and the beautiful pictures. I can’t believe how many flowers you have already! You must be a week or two ahead of us here in southwestern Virginia. I saw a bunch of daffodils peaking out from behind a tree yesterday on our way home from church. What an exciting sight!

  5. Thank you all for the encouraging words! As I matched my list with photos, I realized I won’t always be able to do that 🙂 Especially when expressing gratefulness for less tangible things, like spiritual growth, etc.

Yes, perhaps spring begins here a little early, but the mountain altitudes help the season linger a little longer…which is priceless. The magnolia will be laden with blossoms in a couple of week, tulips will follow early April, cherry and apple trees after that, and lastly (I think), the dogwoods complete God’s canvas of spring. We may not experience all its glories this year due to some plans on our plate, but we’ve been blessed with outrageous springs in the past, and prayerfully, many more in the future!

    Blessings!!!
