Family prayers

I haven’t posted anything in a while due to a family emergency.  About 8 days ago, my brother-in-law, Harry, fell from 23 feet to a concrete surface and was rushed to a nearby trauma center.  As difficult as this time has been, the Lord has been watchful and faithful.  In spite of numerous injuries and consequences, the biggest answer to prayer is that his brain, neck and spine were NOT injured, his mind is sound (more than mine :-)), and he is ALIVE!!

But prayers continue to be made and requested, for the swift healing of both his wrists and hands which were seriously injured and for the nerves on the right side of his face.  And awesome group of doctors are monitoring and testing Harry each day to determine the next step–whether he will need some very delicate surgery to repair the nerve damage affecting his face and balance, or if time will bring the healing more naturally. Please pray for the Lord to heal those nerves and make surgery unnecessary…or if it is required, that God will guide the surgeon’s hands deftly and precisely to fix the nerves without damage to any others.  Thank you!

I’ll return to writing, emailing, and Facebook updates soon.   In the meantime, you can enjoy another hymn I posted in the blue Music Box last week:  It’s from Sovereign Grace’s Together for the Gospel, “O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing!”

Praise the Lord for his love and care over Harry!

  1. Nice to have you back again, and I’m sorry to hear that not really good news…Man’s extremity is God’s opportunity.I’ll include him in my prayer…

    God bless.
