“Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. “ 1 Corinthians 10:31
Christmas, for some reason, has traditionally been a time when people take extra measures to reach out beyond themselves, to help those less fortunate, or less blessed. But as followers of Jesus Christ, we are encouraged to help the poor and be rich in good works, in season and out…for the Lord. Few have lived this example moreso than Mother Teresa. She glorified the Lord in every deed, every act of kindness and every life she helped, and she said we could do the same…any season, every day:
People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do it anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough. Give the best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God….
It never was between you and them anyway.
Mother Teresa
if only I could keep that mindset!
Right on!
John and I said even if we post this on our wall, it’s certainly not the same as doing it! 🙂
I love the Charlie Brown clip..and how deepa message is revealed, through their little play…I am surprised it is still aired on TV with this Christian Message 🙂 Love it, and love the words of Mother Teresa as well, very encouraging. Thank you mom, I have posted a link to your blog on my facebook…there are others who should read your words, God’s promises, and see Dad’s photos as well!
Love, JOY
