Narnia music by Steven Curtis Chapman

As we continue to pray for Steven Curtis Chapman and his family during their time of grief and loss, I thought it would be appropriate to listen and watch one of his music videos.  Chapman’s music spans nearly 3 decades, so there are countless songs to choose from; “Cinderella” (reach-for-the-tissues), or “When Love Takes You In,” about adoption (and God’s love), “God is God (and I am Not)”, and many, many more.  I chose the song, “Remembering You” from Steven Curtis Chapman’s contribution to “Music Inspired by the Chronicles of Narnia”.  I find the song presents Aslan, at least to Christian minds, more completely than he’s portrayed in the recent movies–as Creator, Savior, Beginning and the End.  One of the song’s lines is  ‘whenever I see the first signs of spring, I’ll be remembering you, Aslan, the story and what is to come.’

As you enjoy the music video, may the Lord draw you into prayer with and for the Chapman family.
