Whenever we have to move, take a trip, or even be gone for a day, the first question we ask is “What about Bob?” And yet, does he worry or fret? Does he look like he’s troubled? 🙂
His intimate place in our family has taught us a lot about trust. He isn’t anxious about the next meal and he doesn’t analyze how much we love him. He just knows and rests in the knowing.
If only we could apply such trust and rest in our relationship with God. Has He ever failed? Has God ever forgotten about us? There’s times I thought he had! But we are assured that even when we are faithless, God is faithful. He will never leave us or forsake us!
God always considers us. As He works in our lives, He says, “How will this affect Linda?” or “What about John?”
If only I could be more like Bob! I’d save alot of time NOT worrying!
“Do not fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let your petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.”
Philippians 4:6 (The Message)
